9.30am Departure with your bus and guide from your accommodation for the full day chianti tour including San Gimignano. Return around 6pm
DESCRIPTION OF THE DAY
SAN GIMIGNANO AND CASTLES WITH CHEESES LUNCH AND WINE TASTING
Being in Tuscany and not being fascinated by Medievo is impossible so unmissable will be: San Gimignano with its towers and Chianti with its castles and its excellent wines and food that we would get to know and taste where it is produced!
So our journey today will have medieval flavors among that wealth that merchants and pilgrims have been able to build together with tower houses and castles protected by fortresses and watchtowers. Our walk in the history of the Middle Ages will make us discover the beauties of San Gimignano and the Castles where wine and food are still produced today. So, starting to visit the hill town of San Gimignano from the medieval city door to the top of the Rocca, we will take some time for shopping and experience the saffron gelato tasting. Then we will visit the local dairy and the organic farm from which the milk used for the ice cream tasted came to discover the secrets of this excellent organic farm and dairy. The visit to discover the world of good food and a light lunch based on organic cheeses and food products included cereals: from the field to the table! After lunch on the Chianti road, time for wine and in one of the castle wine cellars to enjoy the wine tour and tasting .. the rest is the magic of the view over vineyards and villages.
