SIENA AND THE MEDIEVAL SOUL
Being fascinated by the Towers, the Castles and the crowned towens means re-understanding the medieval history made of lights and shadows: in Siena, as in Monteriggioni, it's simple, that's why visits are inevitable to taste all the flavors of history !!
In the footsteps of the pilgrims who in the Middle Ages made it the riches, our first stop will be Siena . Siena considered by some the second most beautiful city in Tuscany and by others the first. While walking the narrow streets and feel any local people going about their daily lives, from businessmen to university students, giving us an insight into contemporary life in an Italian town we will feeling the special Medieval atmosphere. But we could not talk about Siena neglecting the military fort that betrayed it Monteriggioni. As evidence of this period of lights and shadows, we will stop in the charming village of Monteriggioni, whose fortifications, like a crown, can be admired from our car whilst approaching!!!! Here we will breathe a scent of life that seems to have stopped many hundreds of years ago, and even if we do not hear the damned spirits of traitorous soldiers, we could walk the perimeter wall !! But we would not be completely involved if we do not take the opportunity to taste Cinta Senese cured meats .. also the delicious white-striped pig accompanied the medieval pilgrims !! So for lunch time?? Foodies pit stop tasting!! We cannot skip the cured meats of one of the varieties of autochthonous pigs . It will be a food historian who in a decidedly genuine way, almost like street food, will open the discovery of the historical flavors of Siena and of course the inevitable Cinta Senese salami

The slow paced walking tour will introduce you to the most important monuments of Florence. Begin at the Cathedral with the famous Dome by Brunelleschi and the gold "Paradise" doors of the Baptistry. You will see elegant palaces, pass some fashionable shops, and walk through the charming narrow medieval streets. Continue on to Piazza Signoria, which has been the political complex of Florence since the 1300's when Florence was considered the richest city in Europe. The guided tour of the highlights of the Medici's power will reveal all the beauty of Renaissance art through the impressive halls of this Palace that it was his Palace. Then walk to the Ponte Vecchio, the bridge which attracts so much curiosity not only for its unique and charming appearance but also for the fabulous jewelry shops that line the bridge. Today an experience with strong flavors thinking of entering the history of Dante's Medievo! Of course we will not meet him, but to know that "Ser Capponi" will host us in his Chianti lands to let us discover those "holy" wines that "marry" organic goat cheeses
Today we will enter into the feeling of the history of the Middle Ages through the incredible flavors of goats, raw milk that graze the estates of the "Conte Capponi" Villa, and wines from native vines that have been restored to history and that have intertwined with the vines of the Sangiovese, until you get to discover the Vin Santo, which still rests in the undergrounds of the Castles, that wine that first shocked those monks to whom it was offered and which, due to the particular process of production and drying of the grapes, brought back similar to those nectars Hellenic originating from the Turkish Xhantos! And only after our 2 Foodies pit stop included light lunch and wine tastings dedicated to natives, goat cheeses and Vin Santo ... it will be worth the stop to admire the hidden cenacle of Ghirlandaio kept in the refrectory of one of those Abbeys

CHIANTI WINE AND TRUFFLE HUNTING FOR A SOM' COOKING DINNER CLASS
A private full experience day of Chianti to discover the secrets and highlights of the food of this land: the truffle, from hunting to cooking and dinner at "home cooking with a Som" .. that means not we can forget the wine !! Then our day will include a wine tour in a wine village and the perfect wine
Here, immersed in a slow time, we will meet, early in the morning, in a place designated with the expert truffle hunter and his inseparable, friendly dog Bracco and our experience begins !! While we will walk in the woods to reach the area where the truffle grows .. never know if we will find it: the hunt is authentic !!... We would learn that waiting is not wasting time .. but understanding nature .. and the smells .. unfortunately not those of the truffle that only the dog can warn .. and once the dog stops we would know that our "treasure" is been found .. so Happy hunting !!! After about 1 hour and a half collected our gold food we will continuing the hunting ..for wine and tiny timeless villages! Only after our wine tour and tasting in a winery we can return to home and , with all our treasure, immediately to the kitchen: we have to prepare our dinner that is will be also an introtuction of the "tasting rules" !!!

Last breakfast and by minivan drive to Florence train station to take fast train to go to Venice and transfer to you accommodeation by water taxi
A journey through the "calle", alleys of Venice, to taste its magic .. the real atmosphere that will make us feel not tourists with our happy hours in the authentic Bacheri .. and also the beauties that we already know will always seem different because we would really think we are in the Venice marine republic of the 500 .. with Casanova !?
Today's experience will be authentic venician lifestyle! This is what many Venetians do as soon as they stop working. In Venice, indeed, the cult for wine is stronger than in many other parts of Italy. The bàcari, so are called the pubs in Venice, are frequented and appreciated by men of culture, writers, musicians such as Stendhal, Richard Wagner and Carlo Goldoni, who in these small places found inspiration for his many comedies. Everyone drinks the ombretta (a glass of wine) and eats cicheti (typical snacks) prepared according to local cuisine tradition...and the Barcheri are the right places! Those remained authentic are not very suggestive, recognizable only by a lable with a name that often recalls a particular fact, a place, or an object. The decor is very essential: a bar, some tables, the barrels from which the wine is poured ... Only a couple of authentic bacari for our two Happy hours in our Foodies pit stops of today , accompanied by a historical walk will be enough .. to feel like Venetians !!
